Insurance

There are numerous insurance plans available, therefore, it’s impossible for our staff to know the covered benefits of each plan. We will do our very best to help you understand your coverage based on your individual healthcare plan.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to know and understand the policies and benefits of your plan, including referrals, authorizations, copayments, deductibles, covered hospitals, labs, and x-ray facilities.

We take pride in providing care to as many members of the community as possible. Therefore, we work very hard to contract with all insurance plans. Please contact our office for information about specific plans.

Our list of accepted insurance providers is subject to change at any time. You should contact your insurance company to confirm Hill Country OB/GYN Associates participates in their network before scheduling your appointment. Your insurance plan's customer service representatives can also help you verify your benefits, out-of-pocket costs and coverage. If your insurance company is not listed here, or if you have any other questions, please contact us.

The cost for your visit is determined by the specifics of the care and services provided to you. Your insurance carrier may pay for all or part of the care provided, however you are primarily responsible for payment on all the services you receive.

If you have insurance, please bring a copy of your insurance card to each visit. We'll submit the claim to the insurance company on your behalf, but please be prepared to pay your co-pay and any deductible on the day your visit. After we receive payment from your insurance carrier, any additional amount determined to be your responsibility by your insurance company will be billed to you.

Our practice also accepts patients without insurance. Our billing office is happy to provide you with an estimate of the cost for the visit and our payment policy.

Our billing department is available during normal business hours to answer any questions.

  • Cancellation

In the event you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please advise us as soon as possible. This allows us to keep a flexible schedule for all of our patients.

There is a $50 fee for no-show appointments and for any appointments cancelled in less than 24 hours. This will not be covered by your insurance company.

A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling. In either case, we will require to keep a credit card on file and bill the patient the $50.00 fee.

If no shows and late cancellations become excessive you may be subject to dismissal from our practice.
